One of the services that we pride ourselves on at White’s Bodyworks in West Sussex is the respray and paintwork repair that we do.
There might be any number of reasons you want a respray. You might simply just want to change the colour of your car. There may be dents and dings or other, more severe, damage that you want to put right.

This MG TF is an example of the type of work we do at White’s on a regular basis. It’s a full-body respray which involves removing unnecessary structures, prepping the surface carefully and then carrying out the paintwork in our specially designed and fully equipped respray workshop.

More About the MG TF

The MG TF is a roadster class vehicle and was produced between 2002 and 2005 before production moved to China. Development continued up until 2011. It’s the archetypical sports car for British roads, a compact powerhouse with a soft-top roof that makes it a perfect choice for those country drives.

Car Respray Experts You Can Count On

A lot of garages offer respray services and some of them are pretty good. It’s important, however, to find the right garage that has the appropriate equipment and respray facilities on site. You also want to be sure that the mechanics and operatives actually know what they are doing.

Respraying isn’t all about knowledge and training, it’s about experience too. Part art and part technical, it takes a lot of time and effort to become accomplished as a car respray technician. At White’s Bodyworks we make sure the right team is in place and that they have all the facilities they need to deliver a high-quality respray.

Preparation is key for any respray work. Even a minor imperfection can make a huge difference to the final finish. That’s especially important with a high-end vehicle like this MG TF.

If you want to respray your car, it’s vital to talk to the experts. Contact the team at White’s Bodyworks in West Sussex on 01273 933633 today to find out how we can help.

At White’s Bodyworks in Sussex, there’s always a lot of excitement when a vintage car comes across the forecourt of our garage. It’s something we have a certain expertise in and the reason why so many owners come to us.

Not only can we handle repairs and servicing for modern vehicles, we’ve gained a reputation across West Sussex and the surrounding Home Counties for providing quality renovations and repairs for classic cars and motorbikes.

This vintage MG TF is a good example. When you hear the initials MG, you immediately have an image of a nice, low slung sports car, one that was typically on the roads during the 60s and 70s. The TF and TF1500 Midget went into production in the early 1950s and this is simply a beautiful, classic car that really looks great on the road.

More About the Vintage MG TF

It’s not just the exterior of this amazing car that we liked at our garage in West Sussex. The interior harks back to a bygone age and is really amazing to see if you are a classic car lover. The model was produced between 1953 and 1955 and just under 10,000 cars came off the assembly line during that time.

Nowadays, of course, it’s a fairly rare vehicle to see on the roads. Owners, quite sensibly, take a lot of time to choose the right garage to work with when they have a car such as this.

White’s Bodyworks Vintage Car Restoration

Over the last few decades, White’s Bodyworks has been proud of its growing national reputation for delivering quality renovations, restorations and repairs for classic cars and motorbikes.

For this particular Vintage MG TF, we were tasked with restoration and repairs. It’s a huge responsibility, of course, and one which we take very seriously. That also means working closely with the owner to make sure we are meeting their needs and delivering on expectations.

If you have a classic car, you want it to be looked after when it needs a visit to the local garage. The last thing you want is a team that doesn’t understand or really what they’re doing, using the wrong methods or materials to repair your vintage vehicle.

At White’s Bodyworks, we have a long track record of classic car restoration and repair. One recent example is this delightful MG MGA which came in for a panel fabrication.

There are few cars that evoke images of the late 50s and 60s than this MG with it’s soft top roof and elongated bonnet. It’s the kind of classic car you could imagine running down to the Cannes film festival in, hobnobbing with the stars.

History of the MG MGA

The MGA first hit our streets way back in 1955 and was sold until it’s production ended in 1962. The original body design came from a model that was built for the 24 hours Le Mans race in 1951. When the MGA first came into our garage at White’s Bodyworks it certainly elicited a few expressions of awe from our experienced team.

There’s nothing our classic car team like to see than a vehicle that is steeped in history and really looks the part. The MGA is the kind of car you immediately want to sit in and get a feel for.

Panel Fabrication for the MGA

Creating a new panel is no easy job, especially when you’re dealing with a classic car like this. As we always do, we worked closely with the owner to work out a plan of action and cost up the job and give a realistic estimate of how long it was going to take.

Classic car panel fabrication is an art in itself and it’s not the type of repair job that you find in any ordinary garage. Luckily, the team at White’s Bodyworks really know what they are doing.
