Getting Your Classic Car Back on the Hampshire Roads
James Alvarez said of us: “Whites completed a full restoration of my E-type Jaguar at an incredibly reasonable cost and within a surprising time frame. I would definitely use them again – make sure you speak to Phil!”
Phil White and his team have got a reputation. They know their stuff and they like nothing more than when another classic car comes through the garage doors, in need of restoration and a whole heap of loving care and attention. It’s not just about dealing with that rust, or finding the right paint, it’s also knowing what to look for and where to source rare parts.
We’ve got an impressive track record where classic cars are concerned and the drivers of Hampshire can be pretty sure they are getting the best of both worlds – experience and attention to detail, at a reasonable price.
Take a look at this Messerschmitt KR201 that we recently took in for a full restoration. Some projects can be particularly challenging but it’s part of the joy of working on such a thing, calling into play all our experience and nouse as we strive return the car to its pristine state.
Why Hampshire Loves Classic Cars
If you love your classic cars, chances are you may well have been to the festival that runs at Brearmore House close to Fordingbridge in Hampshire. It’s been running for a couple of years and attracts some of the best and rarest motors in the UK. From Bentleys and Daimlers to Lincolns and MGs, even the odd Mustang, almost 300 vintage cars descend on the site and give Hampshire’s enthusiasts something to drool over.
If you want a taste of the 60s then take a peek at this Daimler Dart that looks good enough for James Bond to pop down to the pub in. Like many classic cars, this one had suffered over the years, including from numerous bad paintings from garages that didn’t know what they were doing. Our job was to lovingly remove the old paint, a task that wasn’t without its challenges, and then do any repairs on the bare body before painting it again. Properly this time.

But nothing’s better than a Ford classic. Check out the great spray job on this Ford Escort Mk 1 if you love those 70s cop series like the Sweeney.
If you’ve seen those TV programmes where an old wreck of a car is found hidden in someone’s backyard, or in a garage somewhere, then you’ll know the amount of work that often goes into a classic car restoration and you’ll be aware that the people who undertake it have to know what they are talking about.
With so many years of experience and a natural love of classic cars, Phil and his team have a national reputation for getting the job done. A full restoration can cost a fair amount of money so you want to be sure that you have the right person for the job.
